Visit strengthens collaboration with Pollolin in southern Argentina

CAMPINAS, Brazil – On April 21 and 22, Aviagen® Argentina extended its reach to the southernmost poultry company in the world — Pollolin, located in Cipolletti, Neuquén, Argentina. The Aviagen team spent two days with Pollolin, sharing the latest management practices to support the performance welfare, and sustainability of Ross® 308 AP broilers.

Pollolin specializes in the breeding and processing broilers and sources its fertile eggs from Globoaves Argentina, which in turn receives Parent Stock from Aviagen Argentina — creating a strong local connection across the supply chain.

Practical improvements for broiler performance

The visit began with a tour of Pollolin’s hatchery, followed by an in-depth discussion between Santiago Lovera, Technical Services for Aviagen South American excluding Brazil (SAEB); Luis Mac Goey, Sales Manager for Aviagen Argentina; and the Pollolin team. Together, they focused on practical steps to get the best results from Ross 308 AP broilers. On day two, the group traveled to Pollolin’s Don Antonio farm, where Aviagen specialists offered tailored advice on preparing poultry houses for incoming chicks, as well as guidance on environmental management and nutrition to ensure a healthy and productive start to life.

It was a pleasure to work side by side with the Pollolin team, supporting their goals with Ross genetics,” said Santiago Lovera, Technical Services Manager for Aviagen SAEB.

Maionchi added, “We’re grateful to the Aviagen team for their close collaboration. They listened to our needs, worked with us to find practical solutions, and helped us strengthen the welfare, performance, and sustainability of our flocks. This kind of partnership is key to the ongoing success of our business.”
