Aviagen celebrates “together for poultry farming without borders” with sector colleagues throughout Latin America

Guests at AVEM Poultry Conference Peru 2025CAMPINAS, Brazil – The Aviagen® Peru team was pleased to join poultry professionals from across the region at the 2025 AVEM Poultry Congress, held Nov. 12–14 in Lima, Peru. The event served as a hub for knowledge exchange and collaboration among the industry’s leading voices – all united under the theme “Together for poultry farming without borders.”

Throughout the three-day event, Aviagen welcomed customers and colleagues to its booth to discuss shared challenges, the advantages of the Ross® 308 AP breed for Latin American producers, and how working together can drive innovation and progress for the future of poultry farming.

As part of the general program, Aviagen’s João Heron Ribeiro, technical services supervisor for Aviagen SAEB (South America excluding Brazil), presented “A multifactorial approach to achieving optimal results in broiler breeders.” “Aviagen takes a balanced, holistic approach to optimizing bird health, welfare, quality, and performance,” said Heron. “We consider multiple management aspects – from feed and nutrition to environment and health care – because success depends on the careful alignment of all these factors.”

Speaker at AVEM Poultry Conference 2025 in PeruLuciano Costa Keske, Technical Consultant for Aviagen, also contributed with a presentation on “Factors that affect female uniformity.” “Female uniformity is a key indicator of sound management and a foundation for strong reproductive results,” explained Keske. “When females grow evenly, they respond consistently to feed, lighting, and mating programs, which leads to higher productivity, better welfare, and improved egg quality.”
