Seminars throughout Central America feature the latest poultry management advice tailored to regional needs.

CAMPINAS, Brazil – Continuing its comprehensive roadshow, Aviagen^® Latin America recently arrived in Honduras, where the team shared the most current advancements in poultry management and best practices with local Ross^® 308 AP producers.

The two seminars, both held Aug. 14-15 and Aug. 17 at San Pedro Sula, were designed to empower Aviagen customers in Honduras with knowledge and strategies to enhance the performance, efficiency, and welfare of their Ross 308 AP birds, while simultaneously maximizing profitability.

As part of an ongoing roadshow this year, the Aviagen team has successfully held seminars in various Central America countries, including Dominican Republic, Panama, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and now Honduras. Future 2023 events will be hosted in Costa Rica and Panama, as well as in Mexico.

Sharing advice in San Pedro Sula

Kicking off this series on Aug. 14-15, Aviagen, along with Phibro Animal Health and Poultry Industrial Suppliers (PIS) specialists, conducted a management seminar in San Pedro Sula for customer CMI-SC technical team, a major Central America poultry company. Close to 75 Ross 308 AP farmers gathered to explore various topics essential for successful poultry production.

The discussions revolved around optimizing breeder management and nutrition, male and female breeder management, hatching egg handling, critical points to control hatchery process, exceptional broiler management and respiratory fitness. Additionally, participants exchanged ideas on two special subjects: fundamentals of digestive tract and balance and the importance of water for poultry health.

Beneficial knowledge exchange

Continuing the informative series on Aug. 17, Aviagen, Phibro and PIS specialists hosted a seminar, also in San Pedro Sula, for other Aviagen customers in Honduras. Close to 50 Ross 308 AP poultry producers gathered to explore various topics crucial to successful poultry production. This event covered essential themes, including male and female breeder management, incubation, hatching egg handling, broiler management during the first 14 days, digestive tract health, controlled environmental management and the frequently overlooked significance of water as a crucial nutrient for bird health.
