CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Colombia is proud to welcome Cargill farms into a distinction reserved for customers achieving a European Production Efficiency Factor (EPEF) score of 500 or more. This remarkable accomplishment reflects careful management, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Cargill, a valued Aviagen customer and global food company with a strong presence in Colombia, was recognized at events held in September and October celebrating the success of Manantiales Farms in Turbaco (Modules 1, 3, 4, and 5) and the Bonanza (four flocks) and Rouse (one flock) farms in Cali.
Collaboration that delivers results
Across Cargill’s operations in the East, Caribbean, and West of Colombia, steady progress has been achieved through close cooperation between Cargill’s farm management teams and Aviagen experts in areas such as flock management, nutrition, incubation and health.
These achievements place Colombian producers among the highest-performing broiler growers in the world – a testament to their skill, dedication, and daily care for their birds. Working side by side, Cargill and Aviagen continue to show how strong stockmanship, sound management, and balanced genetics come together to deliver excellent welfare, sustainability, and performance in the field.

During the award gatherings, Dr. Paola Ayram, Live Production Director for Cargill Colombia, emphasized “the power of teamwork” as the key to success across diverse production conditions nationwide. Héctor Santos, Broiler Manager for the Caribbean, and María Alejandra Grisales, Broiler Manager for Western Colombia, noted, “good management practices help fully express the genetic potential of Ross 308 AP birds – resulting in healthier, more efficient flocks.”
