CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Latin America looks forward to engaging with customers and the wider poultry community at the 13th Santa Catarina State Poultry Association (ACAV) symposium. Taking place Oct. 4-6, the hybrid event is available both online and at the Oceania Convention Center in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Attendees will discuss the latest innovations and best practices in incubation, nutrition, production and management at the symposium, which is known for its high level of scientific content. The main topic of conversation for Aviagen and its team of experts will be “Ross® 308 AP: eye on results,” as well as Aviagen’s commitment to “Breeding for Welfare and Sustainability.”

Opportunities for knowledge exchange
Aviagen specialists will share their expertise during two ACAV sessions. On Oct. 5, they will present three lectures covering essentials for achieving good flock performance. The morning session will consist of a “hatching” panel, where Aviagen Brazil’s Regional Technical Services Supervisor and Incubation Specialist Felipe Kroetz Neto will talk about “Hatching efficiency and progeny quality.” Also, during this panel, Marco Aurélio Romagnole de Araújo, Aviagen Brazil’s Technical Services Manager, will lead a discussion on “Reproductive efficiency of roosters.”

In the afternoon, Aviagen's Global Nutrition Expert, Emilio Cura will address show attendees on the “Key points of management and nutritional update for the Ross brand.” Afterward he will lead a roundtable discussion on the same topic.

“Aviagen is proud to be a Gold sponsor at perhaps Brazil’s most relevant management event,” commented Araújo. “ACAV offers a great opportunity to connect with our customers and industry colleagues both old and new, discussing the Ross 308 AP performance, welfare and sustainability advantages to the Latin American market.”

“The Ross bird has enjoyed rising popularity in Brazil and across Latin America. Poultry producers benefit from the high performance at the breeder and broiler level, along with strong feed efficiency, livability and environmental resilience. These traits are good for the sustainability of the planet and the businesses of poultry producers as they work hard to feed our Latin American communities with a valuable protein,” added Luiz Mansano, Commercial Manager, Aviagen Brazil. “We are looking forward to talking with the ACAV community about the value our birds can offer their businesses, as well as our commitment to “Breeding for welfare and sustainability.”
